LSR Metering & Mixing System
Precision LSR Dispensing and Mixing Machine
Description
Aquasyn’s GMP valves are engineered to meet the demanding requirements of high-purity biopharmaceutical manufacturing. These valves offer maximum design flexibility, allowing for virtually any valve-to-valve or valve-to-fitting configuration, whether in traditional multi-valve setups or precision-machined block body styles. Designed for drainability, cleanability, and minimal dead legs, they are an ideal choice for maintaining compliance with GMP guidelines.
Aquasyn’s approach combines in-house machining, internal and external polishing, and electropolishing to deliver exceptional build quality, fast turnaround, and system-specific valve assemblies. With a wide stock of components and a proven reputation for high-end fabrication and weld quality, Aquasyn is trusted across the industry to deliver custom sterile access valves, fast, reliable, and built to spec.
Our LSR Metering & Mixing System is a high-precision dispensing unit designed specifically for liquid silicone rubber (LSR) processing. Built for medical, bioprocess and polymer molding environments, it delivers accurate 1:1 ratio control, handles ultra-high viscosities, and ensures clean, consistent two-component mixing for reliable overmolding production.
The system’s fully pneumatic design eliminates the need for electricity, making it ideal for cleanrooms, controlled environments and GMP manufacturing lines. With smooth metering, steady flow, and easy changeover between materials, it provides dependable performance for LSR mold filling, tubing overmolds, connector molding and precision silicone components.
Engineered for fast setup, minimal maintenance and long-term reliability, this LSR metering and mixing solution supports both small-batch pilot lines and scalable production workflows, delivering consistent results across the full molding cycle.

The MonoBiologics LSR metering and mixing system is designed to accurately meter, mix, and dispense two-component liquid silicone rubber materials at a controlled ratio of 1:1. The system operates by independently pumping the A and B components from their respective containers and delivering them to a common mixing mechanism immediately prior to dispensing. This approach ensures consistent material preparation while minimising residence time and reducing the risk of premature curing.
In a pneumatic LSR metering and mixing system, each material component is driven by its own dedicated displacement pump. These pumps are actuated using compressed air rather than electrical or hydraulic power, allowing precise control of material delivery while maintaining a simple and robust machine architecture. Mechanical linkages between the pumping assemblies ensure that both components are metered proportionally, maintaining the required mix ratio throughout the dispensing cycle when operated under appropriate maintenance conditions.
The metered materials are combined in a static mixing element, where controlled internal geometry promotes thorough blending of the two components before dispensing. Because mixing occurs immediately prior to application, material consistency is maintained while minimising waste and reducing the likelihood of cured material within the system. Output pressure and flow rate are governed by incoming air pressure, material viscosity, and pump configuration, allowing the system to accommodate a wide range of LSR formulations and processing requirements.
The LSR metering and mixing system is configured for use with bulk material pails or cartridge-based feeds, depending on production scale and application. Pail lift mechanisms apply consistent force to the material supply, ensuring reliable feed to the metering pumps even when component volumes differ. This design supports stable operation across development, pilot, and production environments.
By relying entirely on pneumatic actuation and eliminating complex electrical controls, the LSR metering and mixing system offers quiet, reliable operation and simplified installation in manufacturing environments. When paired with an overmolding press, the system provides a controlled and repeatable method for preparing and delivering liquid silicone rubber for medical, industrial, and high-purity molding applications where consistency and process stability are critical.
