How Does an LSR Overmolding Press Work?

The MB-8 overmolding press is a purpose-built machine engineered to provide controlled, repeatable overmolding of liquid silicone rubber (LSR) components with precision and stability. At the heart of its design is a pneumatic platen actuation system that applies consistent clamp force to the mold assembly, ensuring uniform cavity filling and effective thermal transfer throughout the cure cycle. Material enters the MB-8’s mold cavity after being prepared by a paired metering and mixing system.
